Abstract:

The article developed analytical methods for calculating the parameters of the kinetics of hydrogen absorption by metals: a brief derivation of the process formulas is presented and methods for joint determination of the integral parameters of hydrogen absorption - the maximum specific hydrogen intensity, reduced diffusion resistance of the H2 absorption process and estimation of the “activation time” of the surface based on a limited sample (2-3 points) experimental data. This method is implemented by solving systems of two transcendental equations, the coefficients of which are used in the experimental data on the process of hydrogen absorption by samples.
