Abstract:

This paper presents optimal power flow technique namely multi swarm optimization with FACTS device. This method is used to solve the nonlinear and non-convex optimization problem. The proposed method has been examined and tested on the standard IEEE 30-bus test system with and without TCSC. The results are promising and show the effectiveness and robustness of the method.
