Abstract:

The paper examines the evolution of High-Performance Concrete (HPC) utilizing regional aggregate and sand in Cambodia. The evolution of this study was based on the constituents and properties of concrete in engineering technology, which is to be accomplished as an HPC in Cambodia. The local materials for mixing HPC were tested to ensure the quality control of the HPC. In this study, 186 100-mm cubes and 84 100100400 mm prismatic beams with various mixing proportions were prepared and tested to observe the properties of HPC, including compression strength, elastic modulus, and flexural strength. The result suggests that the HPC gave promising performance to the properties of local materials with compressive strength of over 80 MPa and flexural strength of about 10 MPa. In addition, the elastic modulus was conservative relative to the equation given by ACI 318.
