Abstract:

Safety and environmental issues are still to become the main concern in fishing vessel operational roles since directly related to costs. By conducting a technical and economic review, it is hoped that it can provide a comprehensive portrait of the ship's designers and investors so that they are expected to assist them in making decisions. Technical analysis is done by testing the ship model, and then the results are developed with Naval architect theories to obtain the configurations of fishing vessels designed. Meanwhile, the economic analysis uses the Accounting Rate of Return (ARR) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) methods with Sensitivity value. Result: The application of hybrid technology uses a combination Solar-Sail has potency to save fuel usage until 95%. It is very useful when applied to catamaran fishing vessels and hence reduces the emission of greenhouse gases. The configuration has an IRR value greater than ARR, and the break-even point (BEP) is smaller than the service life.
